Semiprivate play sessions

Children express themselves and understand the world in a hundred different ways. We call this the hundred languages of the child, part of Reggio Emilia's philosophy. One of the most powerful languages, is play.
In these semiprivate sessions, your child plays, crafts, builds, sings, moves, and explores English in many different ways:
no worksheets, no drilling the ABCs.
Play-based learning is mostly child-led: kids choose how to interact with the environment and materials, learning with their whole body. This is what neuroscience has shown us works best in the early years, yet it's rarely seen in typical English classrooms. Instead of fixed lesson plans, I create themed play invitations: a carefully set-up space, built around a topic, that invites your little one to explore it in their own way. Routines hold it all together, so kids always know what to expect, and English simply becomes part of the fun, without ever feeling like pressure.

My groups are for 3 to 6-year-olds, with a maximum of 5 kids. Learning happens in community, through relationships with others. Older kids build confidence by taking the little ones under their wing. Toddlers and preschoolers, in turn, learn just by watching kids who are a few steps ahead. It's a mini version of the real world: different ages, different languages, different ways of being, all in one room. The result? Kids feel like they truly belong and they grow socially and emotionally.

Fluency comes from speaking English in real situations, through play, music, and fun activities where kids actually need the language. Teaching abstract concepts like the days of the week or the alphabet isn't developmentally appropriate for this age group. That's why we use as many of the hundred languages as we can: singing, crafting, building, moving, role-play, storytelling and whatnot! Kids can only learn something new when it feels meaningful to them. That's what neuroscience consistently shows us.

Kids are welcome exactly as they are, regardless of background, learning styles, or how their brain works. Sometimes they're not in the best mood, and that's okay. Some children find it hard to say goodbye to their parents/caregivers at first, that's completely normal. I help your little one navigate their big feelings through co-regulation and movements that help regulate their nervous system. And hey, a spoonful of humor always helps too!

Cancellation policy:

I get it, sometimes things come up! Just keep in mind that once you've signed the agreement, your spot has been reserved ahead of time, which means another family may have missed out on it. So if you need to cancel before the trimester ends, you're still responsible for paying the remaining months. It's how I can keep these groups small, consistent, and truly special for every child.
